Review: Unstoppable (2010)

by Crystal Canole

Unstoppable stars Denzel Washington and  Chris Pine as the lead actors.  They both work for the railroad company.  Chris Pine's character,Will,  just started his job but Denzel Washington's character, Frank, has been on the job for many years.  Presently the old timers do not like the new hires because the company is forcing the old timers to retire.

Will is going through a hearing over a personal protection order against him by his wife so he is very distracted on the job.  Frank sees this and keeps harping on him to do his job and get off the phone.  They get on the tracks with a train that has too many cars and hear that there is an unmanned runaway train heading there way.

The train is on their track so they need to get off in a side track.  The problem is that Will did not disconnect enough cars so they are not going to fit in the side lot.

The movie is a decent movie but nothing worth raving about.  It is very predictable and slow going.  If there is nothing else to watch its good enough to watch.  Although I am sure there are much better movies out there.

  2. Hi tingieee,
This movie would be worth Netflicking since that is a one fee per month rental. It's a decent movie just not worth renting for four dollars or paying eight dollars at the theatres to see.
